PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR 2O2O
This years color of the year used very strongly in interior design is Classic Blue by Pantone. Because of its sophisticated and calming tone, this color has become a staple in interior design. Paint an accent wall in your livingroom, or better yet, the ceiling in your powder room. Use classic blue as an accent color in pillows or artwork.
White kitchens are making there way out this year and being replaced with color! Dark blue kitchen cabinets is a huge trend this year. Contrast is key when it comes to beautiful kitchen designs. Paint color in this example is called NAVAL SW 6244 by Sherwin Williams.
BLACK IS BACK IN INTERIOR DESIGN
Dark stone has made a huge comeback this year for interior finishes. Black marble, black quartz, black onyx , the trend is very strong and very bold. Used as the contrasting finish against the Carrara backsplash.
A top interior design trend for this year, pairing black stone with brass fixtures creating a sophisticated timeless look.
The book matched pattern of the stone is the highlight of this design.
YOUR OWN PERSONAL SPA
When remodeling your bathroom this year, stick with natural hues in taupes and grays. A big trend in tile for 2020 is a soft matte finish. Stay away from high gloss tiles, matte finishes create a sense of softness and relaxation.
Larger patterns in small spaces really create a wow factor. This example demonstrates a chevron pattern tile in matte neutral finish. It creates visual interest that is fun but soft and serene.
WORKING FROM HOME
This year has changed the way we work and live. If all you need is quiet corner, a simple console table and chair will suffice. Don’t forget to add a nice art piece as your backdrop for those zoom meetings!
ART DECO, A TIMELESS INTERIOR DESIGN TREND
Art deco style is my personal favorite. The curvy lines, the black and white contrasting materials, the geometric patterns, the use of gold and silver together, a classic style has come back to life in 2020. CB2 Matador Shearling Chair.

INTERIOR DESIGN FOR MIX YOUR METALS
Still a very strong top interior design trend for 2020 is mixing your metals. Mixing golds with silvers is a trend not everyone is comfortable with, but if you are looking for a well balanced design, mixing metals is the way to go. Too much of one color can be repetitive and monochromatic. Blending your metals creates harmony and elegance.
